Barbora Rovenská has had a long-standing involvement in data protection issues. She in fact played a role when these issues were first addressed by legislators in the Czech Republic, contributing, among other things, to the draft bill for a Czech Data Protection Act. Barbora further specializes in corporate law, labor law, intellectual property law and real estate law. She is also concerned with the legal framework for advertising and consumer contests.

Barbora has rich experience in advising both Czech and foreign clients in legal matters pertaining to their day-to-day business practice in the Czech Republic. In the area of dispute resolution, the core of her work concerns court disputes over the validity of terminations of employment and the compensation for workplace accidents and injuries, litigation of commercial obligations, and claims brought within the context of the right of neighbors to protection from nuisance caused by industrial production plants. Barbora represents clients in proceedings before the Czech Intellectual Property Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, and the Data Protection Office.

Barbora is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA).

Before she founded rovenska.partners in September 2016, Barbora worked for more than five years as an attorney (advokátka) for the Prague office of international law firm White & Case. Prior to that, she worked for Horák & Chvosta from 1992 to 2011, first as a trainee lawyer and eventually as a partner.
